Garden Centre Supervisor
We are looking for a Garden Centre Supervisor to support the day-to-day running of a busy urban garden centre.
Main Responsibilities:
Team Supervision: Lead and support staff to deliver great customer service and meet sales goals.Customer Service: Provide friendly and helpful advice on plants, gardening products, and related items.
Merchandising: Keep stock well-presented, tidy, and attractively displayed, especially during seasonal periods.
Store Operations: Support with tills, cash handling, opening/closing duties, and general store procedures.
Stock Management: Help with deliveries, stock rotation, and keeping accurate inventory records.
Health & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and staff.
Training: Assist in training new team members and supporting performance on the shop floor.
Skills & Experience:
Experience as a retail supervisor or team leader (garden centre or similar retail an advantage).
Strong customer service skills and a positive, helpful attitude.
Ability to motivate and guide a small team.
Good organisation and time-management skills.
Confident with tills, cash handling, and basic admin tasks.
Interest in plants or gardening is helpful, but full training will be provided.
This is a hands-on retail role where you will lead a small team, provide excellent customer service, and help maintain high standards across the store.
