Role Purpose
The Compliance Manager ensures full organisational compliance with childcare, safety, and data protection legislation. The role also oversees child enrolments, procurement, and facilities maintenance, supporting effective, compliant operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain policies on safeguarding, GDPR, vetting, and behaviour management.
Monitor compliance with Tusla and Health & Safety Authority requirements; conduct audits and inspections.
Investigate non-compliance and implement corrective actions.
Maintain records, prepare reports, and liaise with regulators.
Deliver compliance training and promote continuous improvement.
Manage child enrolment processes, ensuring all documentation and consents are complete.
Oversee procurement of supplies and services and ensure supplier compliance.
Supervise facilities and vehicle maintenance, insurance, NCT, and safety checks.
Collaborate with management and HR to embed quality and compliance across all sites.
RequirementsEssential
Level 7+ degree in Law, Compliance, Business Administration, Social Care, or related field.
At least 3 years’ experience in compliance, quality assurance, legal, or administrative management in a regulated setting.
Proven ability to develop and implement policies and manage audits.
Strong understanding of Irish regulatory and governance frameworks.
Excellent communication, organisation, and analytical skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital documentation systems.
Fluent English; strong attention to detail and commitment to safeguarding and inclusion.
Desirable
Experience in childcare, education, or public sector compliance roles.
Knowledge of Tusla, Health & Safety, and GDPR regulations.
Skills in policy drafting, contract management, or procurement oversight.
Ability to provide compliance or staff training.
Fluent Portuguese an advantage.
Full driving licence (Irish or international).
