Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.
Job Description
Duties
This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
You will be expected to grow into working with individuals and groups supporting them in recovery and promoting positive change.
Duties to include: To assist in facilitating therapeutic and educational groups within the Aftercare Programme.
To assist in carrying out Pre-Entry assessments of service users' needs and assess their readiness to join the Tiglin Aftercare Programme.To provide information to service users about attitudes and behaviors that may lead to relapse
To assist the Manager of the Aftercare Programme with reports and other office duties
To support and encourage service users through positive changes and progression
To observe/facilitate therapeutic and educational groups related to Recovery and Re-Integration
Best Practice Approaches:Project Workers are required to work to quality standards to improve the outcomes for service users at all times, this includes: Appropriately supporting of service users from their first point of contact in the Aftercare Programme
To engage and support service users appropriately and professionallyTo challenge inappropriate service user behavior and take necessary action with the support of the team
To assist in the documentation and maintenance of service user interventions and notes
To actively communicate with other staff members to ensure that the best possible service is provided
To refer service users where and when appropriate with the support of the Team
To maintain a high standard of personal presentation and an appropriate dress code
Interpersonal Relationships: To establish and maintain professional therapeutic relationships with service users.
Project workers are expected to have a high level of self-awareness and personal and professional boundariesDemonstrate the ability to work as a team member, maintaining communication, honesty and openness
Collaboration with other therapeutic team members regarding decision-making concerning service users
Sharing knowledge and skills within the team
Having a “can do” attitude to the working environment
To have an understanding of how to manage conflict and work towards resolving issues
Effective communication with external agencies
