Assistant Construction Project Manager required for an established building contractor to work on projects in Leinster. The successful Assistant Construction Site Manager will work under a highly experienced manager who has a proven track record in managing civil, structural and architectural projects professionals within the construction industry.
Our client has a great reputation within the industry. The role will be based in Leixlip, Co. Kildare.
As Assistant Manager, you will directly report to the Project Manager and Contracts Manager and will work collaboratively with them to drive standards. You will initially be responsible for managing the fit-out of projects from inception through to handover and will ensure that a consistently high standard of work is completed on time to the client’s satisfaction.
Assistant Manager Role:
- Day to day management of operations on-site, ensuring that the project is brought to successful completion and meets the required time, budget and quality constraints
- Ensuring timely management of any unforeseen delays
- Regular monitoring and liaison with the Project Manager and Contracts Manager on the programme
- Liaise with the Project Manager and Contracts Manager to ensure adequate labour and subcontract resource is available on site
- Carry out tool box briefings to the site teams and subcontractors
- Plan and efficiently organise the site facilities and logistics
- Liaise with the client on a day-to-day basis
- Requisition materials and oversee the deliveries and ensure they are done so in adequate time in line with the construction programme and procurement schedule
- Ensure workmanship and material standards are achieved in accordance with specifications, building regulations, health and safety legislation as well as quality standards
- Ensure site team and sub-contractors are following common operational standards
- Ensure compliance with the H&S and Environmental plans
- Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest possible standard
Requirements:
- 2 years min experience
- Trade/Engineering qualification
- Hold current Safe Pass
- Clean, Full driving licence
- Capable of managing all aspects of the works, be dynamic and eager to drive projects forward
- High level of organisation and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office including strong excel skills.
- Confident proactive and have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to liaise with and manage clients
