Kerlogue Nursing Home, Kerlogue, Wexford is inviting applications for the role of Healthcare Assistant.
The role will assist in delivering a high standard of person-centred care to our residents, promoting their independence, affording them choice and ensuring their dignity is maintained at all times.
Duties include assisting residents' with direct care and all aspects of daily living. Getting to know the residents' interests and needs, and contributing to maintaining a safe environment.
The role requires good communication skills and the ability to work well independently, or as part of a team, with a pleasant respectful manner, and a desire to enhance the lives of our residents and maintain a positive environment
Applicants must have relevant experience in a healthcare setting and QQI Level 5 qualification completed, including Care Skills and Care of the Older person modules, or an equivalent accepted healthcare qualification, and experience in a healthcare environment.Comprehensive induction training and continued support and mentoring will be provided.
