Technical Project Manager, Data Science
Overview:

We're seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery of AI and machine learning initiatives across our data science organisation, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver GenAI, LLM, agentic frameworks, and NLP-driven features that power our AI platform.
You'll partner with the Director of Data Science, Manager of Data Science, and technical leads to translate AI strategies into executable delivery plans. You'll work with data scientists, AI engineers, data engineers, and product managers to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery in a culture that values innovation, ownership, and continuous learning.
This is a hybrid position based at Windmill Lane, Dublin 2, our strategic hub for AI development in Ireland.

Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end delivery of data science initiatives, including planning, execution, monitoring, and release
- Partner with product managers to translate product requirements into executable delivery plans for data science teams
- Collaborate with data scientists, AI engineers, data engineers, and analytics teams to coordinate cross-functional initiatives
- Manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, and resource allocation across multiple concurrent projects
- Drive delivery using agile methodologies, ensuring transparency and predictable outcomes
- Establish clear governance, reporting, and communication across technical and business stakeholders
- Proactively identify delivery risks and work with teams to resolve blockers and maintain momentum
- Track and report on delivery metrics, milestones, and outcomes to leadership
- Support planning and prioritisation activities with the Director of Data Science and technical leads
- Continuously improve delivery processes and ways of working within the data science organisation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of experience delivering technical projects in software or product-led organisations
- Strong project management skills, including scope, schedule, risk, and stakeholder management
- Proven ability to work effectively with engineering and data science teams
- Experience working in agile environments (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
- Understanding of AI/ML development lifecycle, including model development, evaluation, and deployment
- Familiarity with data science terminology and workflows
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with intellectual curiosity
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across both technical and non-technical teams
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
Preferred:
- Experience delivering AI/ML or data science projects
- Understanding of modern ML technologies including large language models, NLP, and generative AI
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience working with data engineering and analytics teams
- Professional project management certification (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master)
