About the Role:

Our client, is seeking an experienced School Secretary / Clerical Officer to join their team on a temporary basis in Laois. Candidates should be available for an immediate start. Reporting directly to the Principal, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the school’s administrative operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support to the Principal and school staff.
• Manage correspondence including drafting and preparing letters and documents.
• Process orders, invoices, and creditor payments.
• Maintain accurate filing systems and school records.
• Handle telephone and reception duties, welcoming visitors and responding to queries.
• Arrange and coordinate meetings, appointments, and school events.
• Assist in preparing reports and statutory returns as required.
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance with school and data protection policies.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience in a school or office administration environment.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT systems.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently in a busy environment.
• Friendly, professional, and committed to providing excellent service.

Additional Information:
