Application Details
Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.
To register your interest you can contact an Employment Personal Advisor (EPA) in your local Intreo Centre.
Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.

Job Specification Qualifications
Essential: Clean Full Class B Licence
Effective Communication SkillsDesirable: First Aid Training (or willingness to undertake First Aid Training is essential)
Key Working Relationships & ResponsibilitiesKey Working Relationships: DSP CE Supervisor
Reception StaffHome Care Teams
Knowledge
Essential: Excellent driving skills
Excellent knowledge of road safety and Rules of the RoadAn ability to demonstrate an understanding of confidentiality and equal opportunities
Have a positive attitude towards patients and their carers
Essential: Experience in driving a mini bus (8 seater)
Ability to take instruction, give appropriate feedback, and seek advice where necessaryAbility to work as part of a team
Skills & Abilities
Essential: Be able to communicate effectively with professional staff, patients and carers
Demonstrate good interpersonal skillsWillingness to be flexible in approach to work, and be responsive to changing demands
Key Responsibilities
To undertake a range of driving duties
Maintain standards of hygiene and cleanliness in relation to the bus
Check supplies box in bus – (a) That stock used is replaced when used and (b) Best before date on items in the supplies box
Attend relevant meetings as required and participate appropriately
Keep up-to-date, clear, accurate and precise records in relation to the bus
Accompany individuals to appointments and/or social activities as required
Be flexible and support other departments and undertake any other activities as requested
Clean, wash bus inside and outside
Any other duties that may be required by Enable Ireland
