Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.
Job Description
Duties
This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
This position is based at the Simon Community emergency shelter in Barrack st Dundalk. Duties involve cooking basic, nutritious meals for groups (Service Users and Residents) Role also entails checking food and supplies and helping with stock control.Strong emphasis on Health and Safety and hygiene ensuring kitchen and dining areas are kept clean and hygienic and foodstuffs are stored safely. Compulsory training provided in food safety plus workplace safety. Opportunity also to avail of funded training up to major award level as well as on the job mentoring and support which can significantly help long term work prospects.
