General Operative - Summer Job - Portlaoise

Positions Available:

We are looking for people to join us at Kingate Foods during the Summer season (now until the end of September, with the potential for an extended contract based on business needs.)

What to expect in the job?

The role will involve:

• Packaging of fresh food produce, including meat, ensuring quality and hygiene standards
• Working in a chilled environment
• Performing physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Operating machinery, but only when trained to do so
• Assisting with additional duties as required, as specified by your direct Line Supervisor

Requirements

• Previous experience in food production or a manufacturing environment is beneficial but not essential
• To be hardworking, self-driven, and of good character
• To be flexible with working hours
• To have the ability to use your own initiative
• To be energetic and be prepared to work within a team
• To be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• To have a strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality standards
• A willingness to learn and assist with additional tasks as needed
• A safety-conscious mindset with strict adherence to safety guidelines
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team
