Application Details
Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.
To register your interest you can contact an Employment Personal Advisor (EPA) in your local Intreo Centre.
Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.
Job Description
Duties
This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
To help create a positive environment for service users and other employees. To work with older people in our Senior’s Social Day Club in accordance with the policies and procedures of the centre. Make and serve, tea, coffee, etc. Assist with general duties. Plan and be involved in suitable forms of entertainment for participants.Encourage participants to participate in and contribute to programmes. Encourage movement and exercise according to the level of ability of each participant. To report any concerns regarding service users to the designated person. To report to the supervisor as and when necessary.
Any other duties as determined from time to time by the Board of Management.
