Stephen Phelan Ltd is seeking an experienced Dairy Farm Assistant for a full-time role in Mooncoin, Co. Kilkenny.
Key Responsibilities: Milking cows efficiently.
Monitoring animal health, detecting signs of sickness.Following biosecurity and hygiene protocols to ensure animal welfare and milk quality
Feeding, watering, and managing the nutrition of dairy cattle
Operating and maintaining farm machinery.
Assisting in calving, calf rearing, and general herd management.
Requirements: Previous experience and background in the livestock/dairy industry.
Understanding of cow health and welfare.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Applicants must have a good command of the English language.
Offer: Annual remuneration of €34,000.00 for a 39-hour work week.
