Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Role and Purpose of Position:The Youth Support Worker (YSW) will work as part of the MAD (Make A Difference) Youth Education Project in Brill Family Resource Centre (FRC) and will support the provision, coordination, administration and assessment of the service within Brill FRC.
They will aid in the development and delivery of ongoing support through supervision, identification/ assessment of needs with the Youth Education Coordinator to promote and maintain positive, progressive participation with the young members and their families of Ballybeg and Kilbarry.
Reporting Relationship:The YSW will work in partnership with the Youth Education Coordinator, Volunteers, FRC Staff, young people, parent/guardians and other stakeholders to promote the service to the local community and maintain an excellent level of professionalization throughout.
Key Tasks:Work in partnership with the various stakeholders to build and maintain relationships to support the needs of the young people involved where appropriate.
Assist in the identification of formal educational and non-formal educational supports for our young people.
Promote the positive participation of the MAD Club to the young people and publicising stakeholders.
Identify emerging formal, informal educational and youth work needs for the MAD Club members and consult with the MAD Club team to strategize supports.
Assist with the application and management of funding to support an efficient, professional delivery of the MAD Club Service.
Work with the coordinator in the participation of interagency collaboration for the provision of youth work supports for the young people.
Aid in the coordination of organising internal workshops/trips away where appropriate.
Report and book keep attendance of young people and incident reports for the day to day events where appropriate.
The roles in Ed Project, are dependant on applicants having 2 x appropriate references in place before they can start, Garda Vetting MUST also be applied for prior to an offer of placement.
