The role:
PE Global is currently recruiting for a Reliability Engineer on behalf of a leading pharmaceutical company based in Cork. This is an initial 11-month contract role.
Description:
- The role of the Reliability Engineer is to improve asset management and reliability through technical support of the maintenance function and optimisation of the site maintenance process. The Reliability Specialist is the primary owner of the Asset Maintenance Strategy. Through the analysis of Equipment history and application of technical skills, he/she is responsible for the correction of equipment problems causing repetitive failures.
- The reliability engineer will operate within the Engineering Centre of Excellence (CoE) and work closely with colleagues within the IPT (Integrated Production Team). He/she will provide expert advice on improving Equipment Reliability, Risk Based Asset Management, and Cost Management, and will act in a consultative fashion to assist with equipment issues, supporting both routine and waves of projects from Accelerate Program / RMRT (Right Maintenance Right Time).
- This role will report to the Reliability Lead within CoE.
Responsibilities:
- Develops engineering solutions to prevent repetitive failures and costly equipment problems.
- Maintains the Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) program such as vibration, thermography, and other predictive analyses, supporting the interpretation of the results.
- Analyses equipment history within the CMMS to assure effectiveness of all maintenance efforts, reducing regulatory concerns, both cGxP and EHS.
- Reduces and improves maintenance work, assuring efficient and reliable operation of plant, process, and equipment while protecting and prolonging the economic life of plant assets at optimal cost.
- Benchmarks other sites and industries for new emerging technologies and techniques. Implements digital solutions and SMART maintenance.
- Coaches the planner and scheduler to ensure that the PM/PdM services meet key metrics such as schedule adherence, costs, resource utilisation and others.
- Complies with the current Quality and EHS Management System requirements of our Manufacturing Division, as relevant to the supporting operations.
- Runs and supports maintenance projects, targeting improvements with regards to BOMs
Education and Experience:
- Engineering degree qualification, preferably mechanical or electrical.
- +5 years of professional experience.
- Desirable +3 years of experience working in a similar role in industrial environment or within a specialized consultancy.
- Ability to analyse and identify trends and patterns.
- CMMS knowledge highly desirable.
- Analytics experience with maintenance data can be an advantage.
- Stakeholder management, identifying key stakeholders and developing a relationship of trust.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
