Duties
This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
Hours of work: 19.5 hours per week spread across 7 days between mornings and afternoons
About the role:We are looking for an energetic Housekeeping Assistant to join our team and provide housekeeping support to the Refuge Housekeeper, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness is maintained across the Refuge and Outreach office. You will be required to clean, stock, and supply the areas to which you are designated, and to carry out other housekeeping duties where required.
A clean driving licence is an advantage for this position.
Responsibilities:
You will provide assistance to the Refuge Housekeeping and maintenance team, participating in a team rota and shared tasks.
You will play an active role in the following day to day tasks:
General clean and tidy of communal area
Check all units/rooms and assist residents in their own cleaning responsibilities.
Clean out and prepare units/room when vacated and have them ready in a timely manner
Carry out all logs, record keeping, and administrative duties related to the housekeeping role.
Keep a list of any items missing from units/rooms after they are vacated/during occupancy.
Store all cleaning products correctly and safely.
Keep a stock of all cleaning products and ensure there is an adequate supply of products available to staff.
Follow all guidelines regarding the correct use of equipment, tools, safety gear and products and the correct area where they can be used.
Work with staff to inform them of housekeeping duties to be completed after shift.
Maintain the basic stocks for staff kitchen and bathrooms.
Drive Refuge vehicle to assist in the collection and distribution of Food donations, clothes donations to the Refuge charity shop when required.
Assists in any necessary shopping for the refuge.
Report ALL safety, sanitary and maintenance concerns to the Housekeeper or relevant Managers.
Record and sign off on all duties when completed.
To work according to Children First guidelines and DWCR Child Protection and Welfare policy.
