Electrical Project Manager

Our client is a leading provider of solar energy solutions in Ireland, with a strong background in electrical contracting and over 3,500 solar installations completed nationwide.

The Solar Electrical Manager is responsible for overseeing the electrical and roofing teams involved in solar installations. This role ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards, maintains high-quality workmanship, and acts as the key link between the install teams and the wider business.

It involves both office and on-site work and requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and communication skills.

Location: Drogheda

Salary: DOE

Key Responsibilities: Team & Installation Oversight

Lead and support electrical and roofing teams across all solar installations.
Ensure compliance with SEAI and Safe Electric regulations.
Conduct regular site visits and inspect installation photos to uphold quality and safety standards.
Troubleshoot on-site issues and provide technical guidance to install teams.

Coordinate closely with other team leads to ensure seamless project delivery.

Health & Safety

Monitor and enforce safety protocols on all sites.

Conduct regular checks and address any issues promptly.

People Management

Support and assess electricians' performance and training needs.
Manage team schedules, holidays, and absences to ensure full coverage.

Promote a positive team culture, professionalism, and customer service focus.

Operations & Process Improvement

Collaborate with back-office staff for scheduling and job planning.
Identify and address potential job issues early by reviewing surveys and job details.
Help reduce call-backs and improve first-time fix rates.

Develop procedures and communication channels to improve team performance and integration with other departments.

Technical Support & Collaboration

Advise sales and survey teams on technical aspects of installations.
Support product selection and liaise with suppliers/manufacturers as needed.

Contribute to commercial and operational decisions requiring electrical input.

Administration & Reporting

Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Attend management meetings and report on team performance and KPIs.
