Start date: September in line with course start date
Pay: €27,500-30,000 (prorated to hours worked) paid monthly.
Job Title: Road Freight Apprentice (Logistics Associate Apprenticeship)
Schedule: 9am to 5:30 pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 4:30pm Friday.Contract: fixed term for duration of apprenticeship (there will be consideration for permanency after this but the apprentice will be kept informed)
Key Responsibilities:
Administration for Transport and LogisticsChecking in drivers at transport reception for deliveries and collections.
Preparation and storage of paperwork to the highest standard.
Timely record keeping using TMS (Azyra).
Other administrative duties as required.
Assist system accuracy by keying important information regarding transfers of stock and investigating cycle count inaccuracies for assigned customer accounts.
Assist IT Department with WMS queries/updates/changes.
Managing Customer Relationships:
Engage with customers in an inviting, friendly, and professional manner to deliver exceptional experiences and nurture lasting relationships.Manage a large volume of inbound and outbound calls, emails and chats with knowledge and efficiency.
Management of all customer activity for assigned customer accounts including queries, complaints, orders etc.
Maintain consistent communication with customers with regards to work orders, invoices, shipment status, inventory counts, arrival notices etc.
Conduct investigations with Warehouse Personnel to satisfy customer inquiries.
Assist with the identification of the cause of a customer complaint and remedying the underlying issue of the complaint in conjunction with other departments, balancing the needs of the customer, and the company.
Escalate inquiries/complaints to the appropriate manager and/or department when necessary.
Keeping records of customer interactions, comments, and complaints.
Non-conformance reporting in accordance with the KPI’s.
Report customer feedback to management, including signs of customer dissatisfaction.
Coordinate special and last-minute customer requests, and expediting orders where necessary.
Provide spot quotes as per the set rate card.
Transport Planning and Administration:
Analysis of transportation data using TMS and other tools.Monitoring driver availability to ensure full utilisation of the fleet.
Assigning loads to vehicles based on capacity.
Resolving collection and delivery issues efficiently.
Administration of Order Fulfilment process:
Adhere to any specific customer processes and procedures.Receive stock onto WMS, create/update part numbers as required.
