ASL Aviation Holdings DAC wishes to recruit an Engine Support Engineer working with the Engine Support Manager to proactively manage the group engine and APU asset portfolio, across the full lifespan of each asset to ensure the assets are used effectively and their values are maintained.
Key accountabilities of the position:
- Liaise with the Engineering Shared Service Powerplant team to collect utilisation and engine health data and review the
- LLP Status in AMOS to develop an overview of the owned and leased engines in the group fleet in terms of engine health, LLP status and strategic maintenance requirements
- Maintain an accurate forecast of engine and APU requirements and update the Engine and APU Requirement Plan to ensure the timely provision of replacement engines to the group AOC's and the provision of engine MRO slots to minimise unserviceable off wing time.
- Track the engine transport stands in a database to ensure the optimum number of stands are available to support the AOC's and to minimise rental days of third party assets
- Prepare the work scopes for engine and APU shop visits to ensure at least the minimum airworthiness requirements are satisfied, the best value for money is achieved and to ensure lease conditions are or will be met
- Monitor the progress of the assets during shop visit events and ensure any MRO queries are addressed promptly, any contractual obligations are fulfilled, any support from the ASL ESS or Procurement teams is requested in a timely manner, and participate in table top inspections or meetings with the MRO as required. Escalate issues when necessary
- Perform the post shop visit administrative work such as Invoice review, reserve claims, material recovery etc. and ensure it is completed in a timely manner. Evaluate the project with the MRO provider project team members, ASL Procurement Team and Engine Support Manager, and coordinate follow on actions
- Co-ordinate with the ESS Technical Records team to ensure the records of the owned and leased engine and APU assets are updated following shop visit events. Ensure the records of any replaced parts, and the Back to Birth traceability of LLP's, is to industry standard.
- Maintain competence on the basis of continued education and training in their area of responsibility. The company will facilitate this process.
Requirements
Candidates should:
- Hold a Batchelors degree or a valid EASA Part 66 Licence or an equivalent qualification is required.
- Have a good knowledge and understanding of applicable Regulatory Requirements (Part 145/Part CAMO) is desirable.
- Be computer literate with good administration skills, be familiar with tools such as AMOS, and be proficient in MS office.
- Have fluent technical and conversational English (spoken and written)
- Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience, working in an engine OEM or MRO environment or in the powerplant department of an aircraft engineering or CAMO organisation.
- Have experience of project management.
