Ophthalmic Healthcare Assistant – Part Time

FRS Recruitment is working alongside a service in Louth County Hospital on behalf of the HSE to recruit an Ophthalmic Healthcare Assistant for a 6-month contract, commencing January 2026.

Salary: HSE 2025 payscales

• QQI / FETAC Level 5 qualification in Healthcare
• Experience working within healthcare services in Ireland
• Previous ophthalmic experience is desirable; however, full external training will be provided
• Ability to commit fully to the pre-employment compliance process

Compliance Requirements

Successful candidates must complete the HSE compliance process prior to commencing, including:

• Garda Vetting
• International police clearance (if applicable)
• 3 satisfactory references
• Occupational Health clearance
• Mandatory training requirements

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience within an HSE ophthalmic service while working flexible, part-time hours.
