A newly opening independent coffee shop is seeking an experienced and motivated Coffee Shop Supervisor with strong barista skills to lead daily operations and help build a high-quality customer experience from the ground up.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled barista or supervisor ready to step into a full management role.
Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day café operations
Deliver consistently high-quality coffee and customer service
Train, support and supervise baristas and front-of-house staff
Manage stock, ordering, equipment and supplier relationships
Ensure high standards of cleanliness, presentation and food hygiene
Handle cash management, daily reports and basic admin tasks
Create rosters and manage labour efficiency
Support menu development and promotional ideas
Requirements
Strong barista skills (minimum 2 years’ experience)
Previous experience as a supervisor, senior barista, or assistant manager
Ability to lead a small team and work independently
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Good organisational and problem-solving abilities
Experience with stock control and ordering
Passion for coffee and creating a welcoming environment
