CNC Machinist – Precision Engineering

We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturer seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join their precision engineering team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a high-spec manufacturing environment and enjoys working to tight tolerances on complex injection moulds and automation components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set, operate, and program CNC milling and turning machines.
• Machine components to high precision, working from CAD drawings and technical specifications.
• Support the manufacture and maintenance of injection mould tools and precision components.
• Use EDM (wire/sinker) and manual machines (lathes, grinders, drills) for secondary operations and fine-tuning.
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving machining/tooling issues to reduce downtime.
• Collaborate with the tooling and engineering team on new product introductions and tooling improvements.

What You’ll Need:

• 2+ years’ experience in a precision machining or toolroom environment.
• Proven CNC programming skills (e.g., Fanuc, Heidenhain, or similar).
• Ability to interpret CAD drawings and machine to tight tolerances.
• Solid understanding of materials, cutting speeds/feeds, and machining techniques.
• Experience with injection mould tooling or automated components is an advantage.
