Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown is a 376 bed, Model 3 Acute General hospital located in the North West of Dublin. The hospital provides acute and specialist hospital services to populations in North Dublin, Meath, and North Kildare.Hospital Services include Critical Care, Orthopaedic Trauma, Surgery, Medicine (wide range of specialties including 6 Consultant Respiratory Physicians), Acute Stroke Unit, Cardiology, Gynaecology and Plastics

Consultant Radiologist (Chest and Interventional Radiology)
This is an appointment to the HSE Dublin and North East Region on a Public Only Consultants’ Contract 2023 by the Health Service Executive with an initial commitment to Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown for 37 hours per week.Applicants must be registered in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the specialty of radiology.
Applicants should have completed post-graduate training in Chest Radiology and have experience in Interventional Radiology.
The appointee will form part of the Radiology Department in Connolly Hospital. The appointee will provide all routine services including reporting CT, MRI, ultrasound and radiographs as well as performing image-guided procedures such as biopsy (including lung biopsy), drainage and vascular access.The appointee will partake in the radiology on-call rota. The appointee will work with colleagues in respiratory medicine to improve delivery of diagnostic services to same including partaking in the weekly radiology-respiratory meeting.
