About the Role
We are seeking a Finance Officer to join a not-for-profit organisation on a short-term contract. This role is central to ensuring smooth financial operations and supporting the organisation's mission.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate weekly and monthly creditors, travel, and subsistence claims.
- Maintain accurate filing of financial records and ensure GDPR-compliant backups.
- Reconcile monthly bank accounts, clearing all reconciling items.
- Manage weekly/monthly petty cash reconciliations.
- Reconcile company visa, Soldo, and bank card transactions monthly.
- Assist with monthly payroll for all staff.
- Support the preparation of monthly Management Accounts.
- Contribute to Year-End Accounts, including reconciliation of deferred income, receivables, accruals, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Assist in preparing financial returns for funding bodies.
- Support funding proposals and other reporting requirements.
- Assist with the implementation of the new Auto-Enrolment Pension Fund.
- Carry out any other duties consistent with the role of Finance Officer.
- Strong financial and reconciliation skills.
- Experience in payroll and management accounts preparation.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
