A leading organisation in Cork is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Team Lead to join its finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and people-focused professional to take ownership of a high-performing AR team within a dynamic, growth-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate, and support the Accounts Receivable team to achieve departmental goals and maintain high performance standards
- Manage day-to-day operations including workload allocation, team meetings, and performance reviews
- Oversee and review bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial transactions
- Manage customer accounts, review credit applications, and ensure timely follow-up on overdue balances
- Analyse aged debtor reports, identify trends, and implement improvements to enhance cash flow and process efficiency
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, providing clear communication and resolution of escalated issues
- Develop and enforce AR policies and best practices
- Provide training, feedback, and coaching to team members to support professional growth and capability development
Skills and Experience Required:
- Proven experience leading or supervising a finance or AR team
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable and credit management principles
- Excellent communication, leadership, and people management skills
- Strong Excel proficiency; experience with ERP systems advantageous
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Collaborative approach with the ability to influence and engage across teams
