Accounts Receivable Team Lead

A leading organisation in Cork is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Team Lead to join its finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and people-focused professional to take ownership of a high-performing AR team within a dynamic, growth-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, motivate, and support the Accounts Receivable team to achieve departmental goals and maintain high performance standards
• Manage day-to-day operations including workload allocation, team meetings, and performance reviews
• Oversee and review bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial transactions
• Manage customer accounts, review credit applications, and ensure timely follow-up on overdue balances
• Analyse aged debtor reports, identify trends, and implement improvements to enhance cash flow and process efficiency
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, providing clear communication and resolution of escalated issues
• Develop and enforce AR policies and best practices
• Provide training, feedback, and coaching to team members to support professional growth and capability development

Skills and Experience Required:

• Proven experience leading or supervising a finance or AR team
• Strong understanding of accounts receivable and credit management principles
• Excellent communication, leadership, and people management skills
• Strong Excel proficiency; experience with ERP systems advantageous
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Collaborative approach with the ability to influence and engage across teams
