IT TECHNICIAN JOB

• Develop and maintain official website of the Embassy to optimize performance
• Maintain essential IT operations for the website including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, desktops and other hardware
• Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
• Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work
• Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems
• Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders
• Assist in training, development and education for new software and hardware
• IT Support Technicians perform routine maintenance of computer and network systems
• Replacing or upgrading existing IT infrastructure such as terminals and printers

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
• Relevant work experience in IT Support or IT Technician roles
• In depth knowledge of Windows, SQL, Linux and UNIX operating systems
• Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
• Ability to work in a team
• Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Technical documentation skills
• Practical experience with internet and network security protocols
