This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
Caretaker/Maintenance is to support community based arts programmes in Limerick. The Umbrella Project supports arts organisations and individuals in Limerick City by providing support staff and facilities. This position is located in The Gaff. The successful candidate will be responsible for opening and closing the building as appropriate for service users.Some of the times will include evening and weekend. Additional duties may include, painting, cleaning and general monitoring of the building. The Caretaker Maintenance Worker will work as part of a small team, reporting to a voluntary board of directors who are also involved in the day-to-day running of this new facility in the arts in Limerick.
Good interpersonal skills are also essential, as is the ability to take direction and to work as part of a team. . An interest in the arts in general is encouraged but not essential.
