Accounts Receivable & Payroll Administrator

We are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Accounts Receivable & Payroll Administrator to join our client on a maternity leave contract. Working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for all administration relating to accounts receivable and payroll, while supporting the wider accounts team as needed.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys ownership of processes, and has strong organisational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll & T&A Administration
  • Manage all aspects of the Time & Attendance (T&A) system and weekly payroll processing for circa 100 employees.
  • Prepare and maintain payroll reporting, including tax returns, reconciliations, and employee payroll queries.
Accounts Receivable
  • Manage debtor accounts and ensure timely collection of outstanding balances.
  • Process incoming payments in accordance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Perform daily financial transactions including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivable data.
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accurately posted.
  • Identify and resolve invoice discrepancies and respond to client billing issues.
  • Issue payment reminders and follow up with clients as required.
  • Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.

General Administration

Support the Accounts and Payroll Manager with ad hoc administrative tasks as required.

Relevant Experience & Skills
  • Previous experience in accounts receivable or payroll is essential.
  • Strong proficiency with Accounting & Payroll systems and software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment and working with an ERP system is an advantage.
