Job Description

As a Laundrette/Retail Operative, you’ll be the friendly face of Valu-Clean, ensuring customers receive top-quality service while garments and linens are cleaned to the highest standard. You’ll handle everything from sorting and treating laundry to managing customer interactions and maintaining a clean, efficient workspace.

Key Responsibilities
Sort, inspect, and process laundry
Operate washing, drying, and pressing machines safely and efficiently
Fold, package, and label cleaned items for customer pick-up
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across the shop and workstations
Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies and retail items
Support the team with occasional delivery coordination or customer follow-ups
Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times

Role Description

This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection.

This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP.
