We’re seeking a results-driven Logistics Manager to take ownership of all despatch and logistics operations within a busy production environment. This is a key leadership position, responsible for driving operational excellence, maintaining the highest standards in quality, safety, and service, and leading a high-performing team across multiple shifts.
You’ll play a central role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods across our nationwide network, delivering top-class service to our customers while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency gains.This full time permanent position is located in County Longford.
Salary & Benefits:
€65,000Mon to Fri 9am – 5.30pm

Responsibilities: Operations & Logistics Management
Oversee all warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, dispatch, and returns.Manage national distribution via company fleet and third-party logistics providers.
Maintain full stock accuracy through reconciliations, counts, and reporting.
Oversee all 3rd-party logistics and inbound freight agreements.
Lead key logistics and supply chain projects in line with company strategy.
Ensure high standards of system accuracy and dispatch performance.
Financial & Performance Management
Manage departmental budgets and cost centres to meet company financial goals.Drive cost reduction in accuracy, DOT, labour efficiency, and overheads.
Deliver consistent service levels that enhance customer satisfaction and support sales growth.
People Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop a team across day, evening, and night shifts.Manage rosters, holiday planning, weekend cover, and overtime.
Actively manage performance, absenteeism, and engagement.
Identify training needs and ensure full compliance with health, safety, and operational standards.
Health, Safety & Quality
Champion a culture of safety, hygiene, and operational excellence.Enforce all company safety policies and procedures.
Ensure regulatory compliance and manage corrective actions promptly.
Promote continuous improvement in housekeeping and security standards.
Key Requirements:
Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline.Minimum 5 years’ experience in a logistics or supply chain management role, ideally within food manufacturing.
Proven track record in change management and project delivery.
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification (preferred).
Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making ability.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP experience preferred).
Results-driven, proactive, and hands-on management style.
Demonstrated ability to motivate teams and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
