We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established and busy manufacturing facility specializing in timber structures. They are seeking dedicated workshop operatives to join their team.This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in carpentry, joinery, or construction who are looking for stable, factory-based employment with a reputable company.Why This Role?Consistent Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Fridays finish at 3:30 PM).Optional Overtime: Opportunity to work a few hours on Saturdays if desired.Work-Life Balance: Enjoy evenings and weekends while working in a supportive environment.
The Role As part of the production team, you’ll contribute to the pre-fabrication of high-quality housing units. This hands-on role involves working with timber, operating woodworking tools, and ensuring all components meet production and quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Assembly: Manufacture wall panels, floor cassettes, and roof sections based on technical specifications.Tool Operation: Safely operate pneumatic nail guns, chop saws, and other woodworking equipment.Finishing Touches: Install insulation, membranes, and structural components.Quality Control: Inspect and verify finished products to ensure they meet drawings and tolerances.Health & Safety: Maintain a clean workstation and follow all safety protocols.What We’re Looking For Manual Handling Certificate (essential).Experience in carpentry, joinery, construction, or factory assembly (strongly preferred).Ability to read and follow technical drawings.Physically fit and comfortable working on your feet.Reliable, punctual, and hardworking with a strong work ethic.
