Application Details

Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

To register your interest you can contact an Employment Personal Advisor (EPA) in your local Intreo Centre.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

Donnycarney Family and Child Service was established in 2015, providing targeted services to meet the identified needs of families and children in the area. We provide support to a range of people: family members of people with addiction issues, parents who are looking for support in dealing with children's behaviours, family members looking to build and work on relationships, young people looking for support with their addiction or their loves ones addiction.

You will be mentored and guided during your time on CE to ensure that you get the qualifications, the networking opportunities & relevant experience necessary to gain full time employment.

Skills Required: You must have a kind, patient nature and be able to work with vulnerable people.

An understanding of confidentiality is essential.

Flexibility in work and hours.

Good communication skills and ability to work with others
Must be willing to partake in trainings.

Garda vetting and/or international police clearance is required for this post.
