Requirements
  • You will report directly to the Construction Manager/Lead Engineer
  • Involvement in some or all the following aspects of Mechanical Contracting –Safety, Construction, Quality and Commercial Issues.
  • Development of piping and equipment construction work packs
  • Sign off piping test packs for pre-test. Pressure test and post-test activities
  • Recording of field welds for weld histories for inclusion within piping test packs
  • Onsite co-ordination between Mechanical and other Disciplines.
  • Responsible for all engineering in a defined area of construction
  • Resolving engineering queries in the field
  • Work with MSL piping supervisor to progress construction in their area
  • Weekly Progress reporting of their specific area
  • Weekly Variation reporting (Gathering this info from the area supervisor to give it to MSL Cost engineer)
  • Familiarise with scope of MSL contract to monitor possible our potential variation work on site
  • Ensure equipment is installed correctly within their area
  • Use of Navisworks 3D model to provide all necessary technical back up to their area piping supervisor
  • Ensuring all material, fabricated pipe spools and supports is on site are required for their area to follow the project schedule
  • Working with MSL QA lead to ensure piping systems within their area is handed over to client on schedule
  • Excellent knowledge of piping isometrics and P&IDs is essential
  • Min 3-5 years’ experience in construction engineering or trade supervisor role
