Mechanical Site Engineer

Requirements- You will report directly to the Construction Manager/Lead Engineer
- Involvement in some or all the following aspects of Mechanical Contracting –Safety, Construction, Quality and Commercial Issues.
- Development of piping and equipment construction work packs
- Sign off piping test packs for pre-test. Pressure test and post-test activities
- Recording of field welds for weld histories for inclusion within piping test packs
- Onsite co-ordination between Mechanical and other Disciplines.
- Responsible for all engineering in a defined area of construction
- Resolving engineering queries in the field
- Work with MSL piping supervisor to progress construction in their area
- Weekly Progress reporting of their specific area
- Weekly Variation reporting (Gathering this info from the area supervisor to give it to MSL Cost engineer)
- Familiarise with scope of MSL contract to monitor possible our potential variation work on site
- Ensure equipment is installed correctly within their area
- Use of Navisworks 3D model to provide all necessary technical back up to their area piping supervisor
- Ensuring all material, fabricated pipe spools and supports is on site are required for their area to follow the project schedule
- Working with MSL QA lead to ensure piping systems within their area is handed over to client on schedule
- Excellent knowledge of piping isometrics and P&IDs is essential
- Min 3-5 years’ experience in construction engineering or trade supervisor role
