Responsibilities:
Our newest opportunity is for a talented Senior Sustainability Advisor to join our Sustainability Consultancy practice, based in Dublin 2, Ireland. We are also flexible to have this position based in UK, Madrid or Portugal.
The Senior Sustainability Advisor plays a key role in delivering sustainability advisory services across priority markets, with a primary focus on ESG strategy, climate transition, and decarbonisation initiatives. The role may also contribute, to a limited extent, to projects related to sustainable finance, climate risk and resilience, and assurance.
This is a delivery-focused position responsible for leading projects end-to-end, building strong client relationships, and identifying opportunities for repeat and expanded work. Working closely with the Sustainability leadership team, the Senior Sustainability Advisor ensures high-quality technical outputs, commercial discipline, and effective coordination of junior team members.
The role requires confident client engagement, contribution to business development activities, and oversight of project teams to consistently deliver practical, value-driven ESG and climate solutions.
We envisage success in this role to include;- Leading the end-to-end delivery of sustainability advisory projects, ensuring high-quality technical outputs and alignment with client objectives.
- Acting as the primary day-to-day client contact, building trusted relationships and ensuring responsive, high-quality service delivery.
- Translating client requirements into clear scopes, methodologies, and workplans that deliver measurable ESG and decarbonisation outcomes.
- Supporting business development activities, including client engagement, industry events, and identifying opportunities for repeat or expanded work.
- Contributing to the preparation of technical and commercial proposals, including methodology development, resourcing plans, and fee estimates.
- Delivering technical presentations, workshops, and project updates to clients and key stakeholders.
- Maintaining strong knowledge of relevant ESG, climate, and decarbonisation frameworks, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Overseeing the preparation of technical analyses, reports, and client deliverables, ensuring compliance with internal quality standards.
- Providing guidance and mentoring to junior team members, supporting their development and effective project delivery.
- Monitoring project performance including progress, resourcing, financials, and risks, and reporting regularly to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 8+ years of relevant experience in Sustainability partnered with a Bachelor’s Degree level qualification in Engineering / Science or Sustainability.
- Advance Knowledge of EU/UK regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ESG and climate concepts clearly.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience developing strategic sustainability solutions.
- Ability to interpret complex business and technical documents, including RFPs and client requirements.
- Confident presentation and stakeholder engagement skills, effectively communicating with clients and senior leadership.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
