Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior QA Automation Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will contribute to ensuring the reliability and performance of our web applications through automated testing using Playwright.
You will work closely with developers, product owners, and Senior QA Engineers in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a solid foundation in testing principles and a passion for continuous learning to grow their skills in test automation and quality engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright to ensure the quality and reliability of our web applications.Execute test plans, analyze results, and document defects clearly and concisely.
Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and Senior QA Engineers to understand requirements and deliver comprehensive test coverage.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our QA processes and frameworks.
Participate in agile ceremonies and promote a culture of quality across the team.
Key Competencies and SkillsSolid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript for test automation.
Familiarity with Playwright or similar end-to-end testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress)Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as Git.
Good problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to document and share findings effectively.
Enthusiasm for learning new tools and technologies in a collaborative environment.
Experience and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is advantageous.Experience: Hands-on experience with automated testing tools, ideally Playwright (or similar frameworks like Selenium or Cypress).
Basic scripting skills in JavaScript or TypeScript for writing and maintaining test scriptsExposure to agile development environments and collaboration with developers or testers
Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how automated testing fits into the development lifecycle
Experience contributing to test plans, documenting bugs, or using issue tracking
