The Finance Consulting team focuses on providing expert guidance and support to clients in navigating complex regulatory landscapes, managing and analysing finance and risk data, and implementing finance transformation initiatives. The objective is to improve the effectiveness, agility, and value contribution of finance functions through technology integration, process optimisation, and innovative practices.

Due to continued growth within the financial services sector, this is a new role for an experienced Manager with expertise in financial services.

Key Responsibilities

Client Responsibilities
  • Manage or support client engagements and provide high-quality consulting services.
  • Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks.
  • Identify opportunities to better serve clients across a broad range of services.
  • Assist with business development activities and proposal preparation.
  • Drive innovation in processes and systems, leveraging technology to enhance client performance.
Practice and People Development Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage diverse teams with varying skillsets.
  • Adapt leadership style to suit team, client, and cultural requirements.
  • Support market presence through networking, thought leadership, and industry events.
  • Participate in business development activities, including client presentations and proposals.
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive, and growth-oriented culture.

Skills and Attributes Required:

Essential:

  • Excellent client relationship management skills gained through consulting or large financial services/technology organisations.
  • Expertise in finance regulatory reporting or regulatory change programmes, including areas such as BCBS239, IReF, IFRS 9, SRB, and stress testing.
  • Strong understanding of finance processes, finance technologies, and operating models, with the ability to bridge business and technology teams.
  • Proven experience leading regulatory or finance transformation projects within a consulting environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with experience engaging senior stakeholders.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience delivering regulatory reporting or finance transformation programmes.
  • Experience applying project delivery methodologies such as Prince2, PMP, or Agile.
  • Understanding of technology trends and their impact on the financial services industry.
  • Experience managing change initiatives across multiple stakeholders and jurisdictions.
  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities and experience delivering complex programmes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage budgets and timelines, meet client expectations, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
Desirable
  • Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent, ideally gained within a financial institution.
