Location: County GalwayPosition: GP Practice Nurse (Experienced ideally)
Contract: Full-time / Part-time (flexible – to be discussed)
We are currently seeking an experienced GP Practice Nurse to join a well-established and supportive GP practice in County Galway. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled nurse who enjoys working in primary care and values patient-centred practice in a friendly, professional environment.
Key Responsibilities- Cervical screening / smear taking
- Immunisations and vaccinations
- Wound care and dressings
- Health promotion and patient education
- Phlebotomy and ECGs
- Supporting GPs with day-to-day clinical care
- General Practice Nurse duties within a busy GP surgery
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with NMBI registration
- Previous GP Practice Nurse experience ideally
- Proven experience in smear taking / cervical screening
- Strong clinical and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and patient-care skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
