Role Summary:Dawn Meats Group is one of Europe's leading beef and lamb processing companies with locations across Ireland, UK, France and continental Europe employing over 8,000 employees. We are currently seeking to recruit a Trainee Accountants to join our Kilbeggan Finance team.
The successful candidates will follow our accounting training programme to qualification and become integral to our business. The succesful caniddate can be based in our offices in Slane or Kilbeggan.
This is an excellent career opportunity for high performing Trainee Accountant. As part of the Finance team, you will gain a wide range of finance, operations and business experience and skills through continuous on the job development with coaching and mentoring.The role may include internal secondment opportunities.
Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities
- Involvement in a wide variety of projects/tasks within the site Finance department
- Responsibility for timely and accurate preparation of the monthly/quarterly accounts and reports for a number of entities
- Involvement in the year end consolidation process and preparation of statutory accounts.
- Tax compliance and contact person for external tax advisors.
- Company secretarial compliance and project work.
- Providing analysis and decision support to the commercial and operations teams.
- Assisting in the preparation of reports for the management team.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and efficiency of the site Finance function.
The ideal candidate will have:
- BA in Accounting and Finance, Business studies or a similar qualification.
- Ambition and commitment to study towards gaining an accountancy qualification.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Enthusiasm, commitment and a positive attitude.
- Strong academic record.
- Record of high achievement and delivery.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
