Temporary Part Time Accounts Assistant

Our esteemed client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual for a temporary part time accounts assistant role for a period of three months, with a genuine possibility of extension or transitioning into a permanent post. Based in a professional and collaborative environment, you will be crucial in maintaining the smooth operation of the office, offering high-level support to management and staff, and managing key financial administration tasks.

Key Requirements
  • Handling all accounting tasks including invoicing, expense tracking, and bill payments using QuickBooks.
  • Management of aged debtors and payment reconciliations.
  • Preparing bi-monthly VAT returns and monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Logging staff project hours and managing debtor accounts.
  • Assisting with monthly payroll and processing wage payments.
  • General duties including answering calls, dealing with emails and queries, liaising with suppliers and clients, tracking office supplies, and booking transport/accommodation.
  • Setting up new projects on the database, collating documentation for tender submissions, managing ISO records and audits, and updating company policies.
  • Organising staff trainings, updating CPD logs, maintaining personnel records, preparing presentations, updating social media, organising company events, and providing administrative support to the management team.

Essential Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar busy accounts' role.
  • Proven experience in accounts/bookkeeping using Sage or QuickBooks
  • Experience working within Irish Payroll essential.
  • Strong IT skills across the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail with strong numerical ability.
  • Relevant 3rd Level Qualification desired but not essential.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and organisational abilities.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle high volume tasks to a deadline.
  • Enthusiastic self-starter with capabilities to self-motivate.
  • Works well in an independent setting and delivering own KPI's to benefit the team as a whole
