Temporary Part Time Accounts Assistant

Our esteemed client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual for a temporary part time accounts assistant role for a period of three months, with a genuine possibility of extension or transitioning into a permanent post. Based in a professional and collaborative environment, you will be crucial in maintaining the smooth operation of the office, offering high-level support to management and staff, and managing key financial administration tasks.
Key Requirements- Handling all accounting tasks including invoicing, expense tracking, and bill payments using QuickBooks.
- Management of aged debtors and payment reconciliations.
- Preparing bi-monthly VAT returns and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Logging staff project hours and managing debtor accounts.
- Assisting with monthly payroll and processing wage payments.
- General duties including answering calls, dealing with emails and queries, liaising with suppliers and clients, tracking office supplies, and booking transport/accommodation.
- Setting up new projects on the database, collating documentation for tender submissions, managing ISO records and audits, and updating company policies.
- Organising staff trainings, updating CPD logs, maintaining personnel records, preparing presentations, updating social media, organising company events, and providing administrative support to the management team.
Essential Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar busy accounts' role.
- Proven experience in accounts/bookkeeping using Sage or QuickBooks
- Experience working within Irish Payroll essential.
- Strong IT skills across the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail with strong numerical ability.
- Relevant 3rd Level Qualification desired but not essential.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and organisational abilities.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle high volume tasks to a deadline.
- Enthusiastic self-starter with capabilities to self-motivate.
- Works well in an independent setting and delivering own KPI's to benefit the team as a whole
