Senior Transition Manager

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and ensure detailed transformation, migration, and technology uplift plans are ready for execution by the transformation teams and develop a communication strategy in conjunction with the programme manager.
  • Coordinate the transformation, migration & technology uplift activities and schedule the relevant teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Agree with the vendor(s) the necessary processes, tools, and environment from the interim as-is state to the agreed-to-be state without unnecessary impact on the day-to-day business.
  • Manage RAID logs, manage dependencies and tracked project milestones, engage stakeholders on project deliverables and discussing mitigating actions.

Key experience:

  • Core PM competencies:
  1. Experience in managing multi data centre migrations in parallel.
  2. Experience with public procurement requirements and constraints.
  3. Strong knowledge and experience of public entity reporting requirements to support programme manager.
  4. Strong knowledge and experience of core project management competencies, including budget setting and management, risk management, time, quality and resource management.
  5. Experience in managing third parties and vendors across different cultures and time zones, along with contract and commercial management.
  • Stakeholder Management - Excellent Stakeholder Management and communication skills to build impact and influence.
  • Project management methodologies and tools: Strong experience in managing IT projects using a recognised methodology and with practical experience in techniques and tools, ideally in a similar business background of a similar scale (e.g. Central Banking, financial services, etc.).
  • Leadership and management:
  • Excellent leadership skills generating commitment and passion within matrixed and direct team structures in a hybrid environment;
  • Ability to motivate the team, foster a collaborative culture and resolve conflict;
  • Forward thinking, with the ability to remove ambiguity, creating clarity and direction.
