Senior IT Business Analyst – Source to Pay

Contract: €400 - €500 per day

Location: Dublin (Hybrid), On-site 2-3 days per week

Role Overview:

The Senior IT Business Analyst plays a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. This role partners closely with stakeholders across the supply chain and IT to review business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and deliver on the application roadmap.

The Senior Business Analyst will lead requirements gathering, process mapping, and solution design for complex initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand strategic goals, operational challenges, and technology needs.
  • Lead the documentation, and validation of business and functional requirements.
  • Mentor and coach junior team Business Analysts on best practice around functional business requirements documentation.
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories or specifications for IT development teams.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and process mapping sessions with cross-functional teams.
  • Analyses and optimize end-to-end source to pay processes using data-driven insights.
  • Support project delivery through the full lifecycle: from discovery and design to testing and deployment.
  • Act as a liaison between business units and IT, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
  • Contribute to the development of business cases, ROI analysis, and change impact assessments.
  • Supports where required change management activities particularly around completing impact assessments on key user groups.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of Source to Pay processes (e.g., procurement, supplier onboarding, assessment and management, purchase order management)
  • Proven experience with business process modeling (e.g., BPMN), data analysis, and requirements management.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and/or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Visio, Power BI, Focus Build or similar.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred But (Not Essential) Qualifications:

  • Experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Certifications in Business Analysis (CBAP, PMI-PBA) or Agile (Scrum Master, Product Owner).
  • Experience working with Big Four consultancies an advantage
