We are seeking an Electronics Technician 3 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit. As part of (SES) Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets..
Responsibilities:
The Technician will be based full-time at the Google sites in Dublin, delivering break-fix support, preventative maintenance, small works installations, site surveys, and operational support to the wider team. The role ensures the reliability, performance, and compliance of installed systems and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Perform break-fix activities, fault diagnosis, and troubleshooting across installed systems and equipment.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in accordance with maintenance schedules and site requirements.
- Deliver small works projects, including minor installations, modifications, and system upgrades.
- Conduct site surveys for upcoming small works and provide technical input to support accurate scope development.
- Install containment, cabling, enclosures, and panels in accordance with industry and site standards.
- Terminate, test, and commission electronic devices.
- Configure hardware and software components as required and support system testing and validation.
- Maintain accurate documentation of works completed, test results, and maintenance records.
- Track and manage tools, materials, and inventory, including inspections and ordering where required.
- Support commissioning activities and ensure installations meet quality control standards.
- Ensure all works are completed within agreed timeframes and in line with project and operational expectations.
- Support other team members on site, collaborating effectively to ensure successful delivery of tasks and projects.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with project teams, stakeholders, and client representatives.
- Adhere to site-specific safety plans (JHA, AHA, PFW) and enforce company health and safety policies.
- Participate in daily safety briefings and ensure compliance with site safety requirements.
- Complete incident and accident reporting as required.
- Ensure all activities comply with established Quality Control (QC) procedures and documentation standards.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and technical competence.
- Exhibit effective communication, teamwork, and time management skills.
- Provide forward planning for manpower, materials, and resource allocation where required.
- Mentor and support colleagues where appropriate, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement.
This role may include additional duties as required to support site operations and project delivery.
Qualifications:
Security Clearance:Applicants may be required to undergo Ireland Government security vetting in line with site and client requirements (e.g. BPSS, SC or other appropriate clearance levels). Eligibility to work in Ireland is essential.
Experience & Requirements:
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in the installation and/or maintenance of electronic systems across multiple projects and client environments.
- Demonstrable experience working on electronic security systems, including fault finding, servicing, commissioning and small works installations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.
- Proven organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards.
- Experience working within live environments and adhering to strict health and safety requirements.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Full Ireland driving license is required. This role may involve the use of a company vehicle, and a satisfactory driving record must be maintained in line with company policy.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Manufacturer certifications or demonstrable experience in IDS, ACS and CCTV systems, including platforms such as CCURE, Lenel, Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch (Radionics, CCTV, BVMS, DIVAR), Aiphone intercom systems, FFT, and associated technologies.
- Experience with Windows operating systems and system configuration.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience focused specifically on electronic security systems.
ECS/CSCS card or equivalent site competency certification.

Abilities:
- The position requires the ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to [50 pounds] on a regular basis. Candidates must demonstrate physical strength and stamina to perform various tasks, including but not limited to, loading, and unloading, operating equipment, and assisting in the transportation of various materials. Proper lifting techniques and safety protocols must be followed to ensure personal and team safety.

- Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders.
- Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
- Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.
- May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.
