Application Details
Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Job Description
Duties
This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
Core Duties & Responsibilities: Ensure that the welfare of the children attending the service is paramount.
To carefully supervise and keep close contact with all children.To make sure that the childcare service is clean, tidy and safe. Ensuring at the start of each session that that area has been cleaned and this has been recorded.
To support team with homework support & in planning, structured and age appropriate activities for all children.
To encourage independence within all children.
To foster the growth of self-esteem within all children.
Where appropriate, to assist in providing healthy snacks which meet the growing needs of children and reflects variation in culture or dietary needs.
Promote and encourage effective parental involvement.
Promote the services in the local community and target users from the most marginalised sections of the community.
Optional: Support and participate in any fundraising initiatives within working hours.Any other relevant duties as may be required from time to time.
Person Specification: Aptitude and empathy with Children.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
