Role Description
The Kilkenny Chamber of Commerce is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as we continue the roll out of the Kilkenny Gift Card program and the broader Shop Local campaign.
The ideal candidate will be brought on board to assist the team in working closely with local businesses, ensuring they are onboarded smoothly and effectively to our program. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills and grow within a supportive and dynamic environment and to get real life training and experience in a busy office environment.
This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement and you will be afforded the opportunity to participate in training and development opportunities provided by the Kilkenny Chamber of Commerce.Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection. This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP.

Job Description
The participant will assist and learn their duties with the mentorship of an experienced member of staff and will be given an opportunity to learn and gain experience in the following areas:- Relationship Management
- How to build and maintain strong relationships with local business owners and managers
- Marketing and Promotion
- Work closely with the marketing team and learn how to develop and distribute promotional material
- Assist the marketing team to organise and participate in events and activities.
