Application Details
Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.
To register your interest you can contact an Employment Personal Advisor (EPA) in your local Intreo Centre.
Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.

Key Tasks: Based at the Childrens Ark Unit University Hospital Limerick
Supervision:-Supervise children during free play, encourage play, sit and teach new games, observe & monitor, plan varied age appropriate activities
Play for children:-
Suggest toys & activities, support children in isolation (when appropriate), read stories, play tapes, video’s and DVD for children who are feeling unwell, provide a safe, peaceful and happy environment
Talk with children:-
Using correct tone and volume, listen to and allowing children time to speak, develop dialogue with children, intervene when appropriate and with sensitivity
Safety:-
Ensure play area is safe, all toys are clean and sterile, washing of hands, make certain no broken bits of toys are left around, all doors locked each evening
Any other appropriate duties.
