Fixed Term Credit & Collections Specialist

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Credit & Collections Specialist to join their Accounts Receivable team in Cork on an 18-month fixed-term contract.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Credit Management and a genuine passion for credit control and exceptional customer service

Reporting directly to the OTC Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing a large, growing debtors listing with a focus on minimising debt and overall DSO. You will be a key point of interaction between the Commercial and Finance teams, providing solid judgement on credit risks and financial interpretations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively follow up on due and overdue accounts and payments to ensure efficiency.
• Manage all customer communications, including reminder letters and monthly statements.
• Assess credit risk by interpreting financials and determine credit extensions based on policy and payment history.
• Handle credit hold releases within agreed SLAs and resolve billing queries or outstanding invoice issues.
• Prepare essential monthly management reports, including DSO, flux, and ageing analysis.
• Participate in SAP implementation projects and support continuous improvement initiatives as directed by management.

Requirements & Competencies:

• A 3rd level degree in Finance or Business is required.
• High proficiency in English is essential; an additional European language (French, Portuguese, or Italian) is highly beneficial.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is required.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle or SAP) is a distinct advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate sensitive information at all levels of the organisation.
• Prior experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical sectors is desirable.
• A self-starter with a /"can-do/" attitude, a flexible approach to work, and high levels of integrity.
