What the day will look like

The Client Manager will be responsible to:

  • To deliver excellence in client relationships, retention and growth of existing accounts and provide robust client promise and development plans
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of Professional Indemnity, Directors & Officers Liability, Cyber Liability and other financial lines accounts within a broking environment
  • Management of clients’ renewals, queries and mid-term adjustments from start to finish
  • Providing technical advice and assistance as required to colleagues across a range of financial lines products
  • Work with the leadership team to enhance and promote key ‘cultural’ characteristics of the wider team: enthusiasm, teamwork, client focus, innovation, accountability
  • Develop and support more junior members of the team through coaching and mentoring and acting as a role model for Aon United behaviours, the role may include people management and performance reviews for a number of team members
  • Compliance with regulatory requirements and business procedures and identify opportunities for process improvement
  • New business growth and development to include formal tender management and being part of bid teams as and when required

Reporting to a Director in our Professional Services team, the primary responsibility of the role of Client Manager is managing a portfolio of financial lines clients, identifying client’s risk needs and utilising the best of Aon’s wider offering for our clients.

Joining Aon as Client Manager will provide exposure an opportunity for you to work in the largest dedicated Professional Services team. This opportunity would suit one who is autonomous and eager to manage clients from cradle to grave.

The Professional Services team are highly experienced, enthusiastic team players where one can grow and learn whilst working in a complex global matrix environment with a mix of functional, business and geographic leaders.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

The Client Manager will have:

  • A number of years' experience within a commercial environment (Financial Lines experience preferential, either in Broking and/or Underwriting)
  • Progress towards the Chartered Insurance Institute examinations (ACII), with a minimum achievement of CIP
  • A proven track record in delivering results, product innovation, negotiating renewal deals, securing new clients, and jeopardy account management
  • Thorough understanding of financial lines products
  • Strong communicator and influencer – ability to effectively communicate, present and adjust messages accordingly to a variety of audiences. Both internal and external communication skills demonstrating ability to collaborate, lead and negotiate
