• To ensure inks are mixed to the correct formulation and properly prepared for the presses and production schedule;
• To provide appropriate technical support;
• To ensure stock levels are maintained within agreed tolerances;
• Ensure all ink requirements are provided in accordance with production schedules, and new colour proofs are completed for the sales department;
• Identify sources of customer problems in terms of whether they are problems with products or applications, and advise/take action accordingly to rectify the issue;
• Work with colleagues to identify and propose initiatives that will improve the Production efficiencies and output, and produce an account product improvement strategy;
• Assist with the implementation of new products;
• Provide cover at other in-plants when technicians are on leave or away, ensuring that customers receive continuity of service and effective technical support;
• Ensure that the in-plant area is kept clean and tidy, and that all health and safety standards comply with Company standards and legislation, with appropriate procedures in place.

• Previous experience in a print packaging environment mixing inks for print press and/or experience of working in an ink laboratory, colour matching a distinct advantage;
• Fluent in English language both verbal and written is essential;
• Strong IT skills essential;
• Accuracy in comprehensively completing all tasks;
• Adaptability / Flexibility in meeting the changing working environment;
• Ability to work on own initiative.
