Technical Sales Engineer
Territory: Ireland (nationwide)Base: North Dublin
A growing and well-established technical solutions provider is hiring a Sales Engineer to support continued expansion across Ireland.
This is a largely field-based role covering the island of Ireland, focused on building relationships and delivering technical solutions to customers in academia and industry. Key sectors include medtech, pharmaceutical, semiconductor and mining, with a strong emphasis on medtech clients.
You will join a collaborative and supportive team, working alongside experienced sales engineers and supported by an internal sales function, giving you the platform to succeed from day one.
What you will be doing:
Manage and grow a portfolio of customers across IrelandDevelop new business opportunities within academia and industry
Engage in technical discussions to understand customer applications and requirements
Deliver product demonstrations and propose tailored solutions
Build relationships with engineers, researchers and technical stakeholders
Work closely with internal sales support and a wider team of sales engineers
Manage pipeline, forecasting and CRM activity
Profiles considered:
A recent graduate or someone with 1-3 years' experience in a technical or engineering environment, looking to move into a commercial roleAn experienced sales engineer with a track record of selling technical or capital equipment
What we are looking for:
Degree in materials science, engineering or a related technical discipline (or similar background)Strong technical aptitude and ability to engage with complex applications
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Self-motivated with the ability to manage a national territory
Full driving licence
