PE Global recruitment are working with a leading Cork based Electrical Engineering contractor to recruit a Procurement / Admin assistant to join the team. This is a full time, permanent role based in Cork.

team.

Role Overview

This role supports the procurement and office administration functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and tracking materials, communicating with suppliers, and maintaining accurate records using Excel and Sage. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the procurement of materials and plant for ongoing projects.
  • Raise and process purchase orders using Sage.
  • Maintain and update procurement logs, delivery schedules, and supplier records using Excel.
  • Liaise with suppliers to request quotes, confirm availability, and resolve delivery issues.
  • Track orders, monitor stock levels, and manage delivery coordination with site teams.
  • Assist with matching invoices, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring procurement documentation is accurate.
  • Provide general office administration support, including data entry, document control, and filing.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential (e.g., formulas, spreadsheets, data organisation).
  • Experience using Sage (or similar accounting/procurement software) is required.
  • Previous experience in a procurement or administrative role, ideally within the construction or engineering sector.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy, fast-paced environment.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
