Purpose of the role:
The Household Coordinators will oversee all aspects of the household that has an impact on the delivery of direct care to the person that lives in Nephin Nursing Home.
Key Responsibilities of the role : The holder of this post is responsible for providing support, guidance and advice to their team.
Exhibit fairness & consistency in dealing with all staffThis leadership function should be underpinned in the provision of safe practice in line with the National Standards for Residential Care Settings for Older People in Ireland (2016) as laid down by the Health Information and Quality Authority.
These standards are enacted by the Health Act 2007 (Care and Welfare of Residents in Designated Centres for Older People) Regulations 2009.
To Maintain open, professional communication at all times, with residents, Visitors and staff
The holder of this post must exhibit knowledge of quality standards and Person-centered care in accordance with the household model and HIQA standards.
Use initiative and take ownership of tasks to completion
Manage conflict objectively and calmly
To maintain Confidentiality regarding all issues and information relating to residents, staff and the company
General Responsibilities
Prepare monthly rosters to meet the needs of the household while demonstrating fairness and transparency
Implement Change in an appropriate timeframe and motive others towards change
To provide mentorship to those on the path, to the role of Household coordinator
To provide induction and support for new staff members and volunteers Conduct Audits to ensure continuous quality improvement

The holder of the post must demonstrate an understanding and a knowledge base of Person Centered care in a residential setting.
Desirable
It would be desirable for the post holder to demonstrate an understanding of leadership within the residential care setting.Qualifications & Certifications:
Required: Fetac Level 5 or higher qualification
Experience working in the residential care setting for long term care.Candidates must be currently residing in Ireland in order to be considered for this position.
